The Everyone logo represents Reuben and Sarah Morgan’s vision of ‘everyone’ lifting their hans in worship to God and together making a difference on the earth.
Wow… what a prophetic logo it is..
Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. (John Piper)
Ephesians 1:12 (NLT) reads, “God’s purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ should praise our glorious God.”
First, there was worship… in Heaven, in the Garden, in a people, in a nation. God’s purpose for humanity is that we may know Him and respond with love, adoration, and honour – worship. John Scott said, “Worship is the highest and most noblest activity of which man, by the grace of God, is capable.”
Jesus Christ came in response to our need for a Saviour. He built a Church, a body of people to make God known – missions. He called His followers to action, action from a place of worship and action as worship. He ignited hearts with passion for God. So stirred were they that their worship of God overflowed and an intense desire was ignited to see others connected to God.
“Then Jesus come to them and said: All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nation, baptising them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV).
Our mission, fuelled by worship, is responding to God’s greatest love – people – and calling everyone to worship their Creator.
When the world fades, missions will cease to exist. Where there once need, there will be no more. All that will remain will be that which was there from beginning… worship.
Revelation 7:9-11 (The Message) says, “I looked again. I saw a huge crowd, too huge to count. Everyone was there–all nations and tribes, all races and languages. And they were standing, dressed in white robes and waving palm branches, standing before the Throne and the Lamb and heartily singing: Salvation to our God on his Throne! Salvation to the Lamb! All who were standing around the Throne–Angels, Elders, Animals–fell on their faces before the Throne and worshiped God…”
God-worship can energise us in missions and God-worship is the purpose of missions. Our mission is to make disciples of all people throughout the world which means we need to see this world changed… people turn to Jesus, both at home and overseas, whether it be your neighbour, work colleague, the orphan or the widow.
Worship releases grace to do the temporal mission, so that everyone can worship God eternally.
TUHAN ingin semua orang datang kepada-Nya, sehingga rumah-Nya menjadi penuh. Worship is not an exclusive thing. Worship is for everyone.
Do worship and missions work together? On the other hand, we have the picture of worship where we’re here to celebrate the Master or the banquet, but on the other hand, God says, “It’s great you’re here but there is still room for more. Go out and get them!” These two concepts have to go together – worshipping in the House and going out of the House, bringing others in. We can’t stay in the House celebrating when there are people out there who don’t know Jesus. Our worship is the staying and the going. The whole idea of missions is that we go where worship isn’t and we teach people that we were created to be God-worshippers.
Is missions for everyone? Missions is a way to reach people with the message of salvation in order to lead them to a place of worship. It’s everyone’s responsibility to get before God, to understand His heart for people and let Him change, stir and challenge us into action. There is so much that we can be involved in – both locally and globally – the Church must reach to the ends of the earth and fulfill the Great Commission… and you and I can be a part of that from where we live. My prayer is that everyone takes their ‘good intentions’ and finds creative ways to get involved. Being part of the work of your local church, sponsoring children through aid organizations and giving financially to church-planting and other Christian-based organizations is just the start. Be stirred by what you are passionate about.
